Today, on March 15, 2019, an anniversary marathon dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the formation of the flagship of the country's higher medical education was held at the I. K. Akhunbaev State Medical Academy. At the beginning of the charity event, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Kosmosbek Cholponbaev, as well as well-known academic doctors, spoke and contributed their savings to its piggy bank.

They stressed that the upcoming anniversary of the university is a remarkable date not only in the history of domestic medicine and practical health care, but also in the entire society. In this regard, they expressed their sincere gratitude to the staff of the KSMA, headed by its rector Indira Kudaibergenova, for the active preparatory work for the anniversary events during this year.

Medical institutions in the regions, heads of major hospitals and clinics, medical centers and educational institutions, international and foreign partners of the KSMA, representatives of individual diplomatic corps, a large army of graduates and others responded to the invitation of the Rector's office to organize the marathon. During breaks and pauses, the participants of the marathon heard concert performances prepared by students, including foreign ones.

The funds collected during the marathon, in particular, will be used for the construction of a conference hall of the Medical Academy. And in the middle of next month, the university will host a scientific-theoretical and educational-practical event "Days of Science of KSMA" with international participation.
