Training for medical workers from the organization "Doctors Without Borders" at KSMA
Partnership 9 September 2024

For several years, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Kyrgyzstan has been implementing a pilot project on women's health in the Sokuluk district.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, MSF has opened a breast and cervical cancer screening center at the Sokuluk hospital.

Based on this project, a five-day training program for Kyrgyz public health nurses has started today, September 9, in the Conference room  of the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.

The training is aimed at teaching health workers the basics of cervical and breast cancer screening and diagnosis in women.

After the theoretical training provided by “Medecin  Sans Frontieres”, about 30 nurses from the Jaiyl, Moskovsky, and Panfilov districts of Chui region will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice.
